Pet Boarding
Your dog will feel right at home on our 2,000 sq ft facility with a large exercise field and plenty of wood trails to enjoy. Each dog has their own individual suite to sleep in and access to an indoor and outdoor play area, both fenced in, to ensure your dogs safety. Multiple dogs from your family may share a suite upon request.
While we have the capacity to board up to 10 cats and 30 dogs, we prefer to limit reservations to 20 dogs at a time to ensure each dog is getting the proper care and attention it needs and deserves.
Canine Boarding:
Our boarding facilities are far from average. Our canine guests are allowed freedom and plenty of attention in open facilities with separate play areas for dogs of different sizes and temperaments. We welcome dogs of any breed, size, age, or personality to stay with us while their owners are out of town.

In safe, separate play areas, dogs are allowed to mingle and play while they receive plenty of love and affection from our staff. - Special services:
If your dog needs a special diet, medication, or assistance getting around due to mobility issues, we can provide the extra attention he or she needs with no additional charge.

Feline Boarding:
Finding a home away from home for your cat is an important decision. When you go away, you want to want to know your cat is in good hands, and we understand that! We offer top quality care while you cat stays with us.

Enhanced Services
Our cat and dog boarding facility is proud of the level of care and attention we pay to our canine and feline guests.
Enhanced services included at no additional charge are:
- Insulin injections
- Incontinence requiring extra outdoor trip or hygiene care
- Oral and topical medication administration
- Paralysis or severely limited mobility
- Special handling during feeding – separating pets sharing suite during feedings, direct monitoring
- Special meal preparation, beyond basic dry or canned food with simple add-ins
Boarding Hours
Pick up and Drop Off:
8 – 10am or 2 – 4pm Monday – Friday
8 – 9am Saturday and Sunday
Pick up your pet by 10am and there is no board charge for that day. When you pick up after 10am, the normal board rate applies.
If your vacation falls over a holiday, please note that we do not accept arrivals or departures on major holidays. Our holidays include Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Required Vaccines
DPP (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza)
1 or 3-yr. vaccine required
Bordetella*
Required every 12 months; and at least 2 weeks prior to check-in to ensure maximum efficiency and protection against Kennel Cough.
*Please remember even though your dog is vaccinated, they can still contract the virus.
FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus & Panleukopenia) (for cats)
1 or 3-yr. vaccine required
Rabies
1 or 3-yr. vaccine required
Fecal Exam
Yearly negative report required
Canine Influenza (for dogs)
Not required, but highly recommended to help protect against the Canine Influenza respiratory illness. Consult your veterinarian.
Here at Dogwood Kennels, our four-legged clients are always our number one priority and we ensure all our guests are given attentive, loving, and protective care. In order to maintain this high level of service, we are not taking on any new boarding clients at this time.
Day Boarding
